Apartment Review for Bell Cahaba River Apartments

I live in Bell Cahaba River Formerly River Glenn Apartments, when i moved here I was not informed of the sewage treatment plant right behind the property. If you like fresh air and like to open your windows stay away from this apartment community! From what I have gathered reading it could cause respiratory illness's, GI tract problems, and for pregnant woman possible premature labor or retardation of the child.

The community is pet friendly. But again with being able to open your windows you cannot if your neighbors do not pick up the dog poop or the community doesn't do it for them. From what i have been told by a neighbor her dogs had to go to the vet for a bacteria infection caused by someones dog poop. So again not the best community to live in if you are clean people.

The apartments themselves are poorly constructed. We have had cracks in all of our walls that have been fixed by the community and by us. The carpets are very cheap! We were told we were the first people to live in our apartment and we defiantly were not!!!!!!!!! After 3 days of walking on the carpet without shoes dirt and grime started surfacing.
The walls are so thin you can hear your upstairs neighbor pass gas! I have complained about our neighbors several times and called the police for domestic violence going on upstairs with no outcome but to deal with it.

If you want privacy you get non, In my lease I am suppose to get 48 hours notice if they are going to do maintenance or let the "Owners" come in. I in fact did not get that. If i were to break my lease agreement i would be evicted and not get my deposit back. Does this seem fair to you?

The office staff act like they car to your face, until you walk away! Then they start running their mouths about you. I had not even made it out the door before they called me curse names after making a service request and complaint about a neighbor.
