Our Review for Birchall At Ross Bridge

Located in the Bluff Park area of Birmingham next to the Bluff Park, The Renaissance of Birmingham Resort and Spa, and the Bluff Park Shopping Center, the Birchall at Ross Bridge Apartments are known for luxury living. With exceptional service, a wireless café, a gaming suite, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchens, these apartments speak of nothing but indulgence. Although the apartments offer many amenities, reviews noted that the actual foundation could use a little reinforcement.

These apartments are by far the nicest apartments I have lived in. The grounds are great and neighborhood is friendly and safe. The maintanence staff is top of the line with friendliness and helping to fix any issues. The leasing office is very nice & friendly. They remember our names and are a cheerful bunch. Some cons: office isn't too helpful if a package of yours has been delivered to them and one of the gals in the office has forgotten a number of times to report a maintanence issue I have told her about. I understand if it's something small, but I would think a heavy leaking faucet deserves some attention. However, whenever I have had to call back about something they get it taken care of right away. Also some minor thin wall issues but you are living at an apartment after all, not a single family home. I would definitely recommend this community overall!

Birchall at Ross Bridge can be a great getaway from 'the real world.' It is a bit out of the way, but when you consider not having to hear the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it will prove worthy of your drive.
Whilst we have had a few concerns with our refrigerator, I would still recommend Birchall to those seeking a luxury apartment. The concern with the refrigerator was: it was not cooling properly, thereby causing food to spoil. However, Birchall did quickly provide new parts, and in the end, also provided a new refrigerator....all 3 times. The third replacement has had no issues, and we are glad to report, we are again enjoying our stay at 'The Birch'.

The kitchen alone more than justifies the leasing expense. With its granite countertops and large island, it makes for great entertaining as well as functionality.

Coming from a rather small garage apartment, we opted for the larger 1 bedroom, 1 bath...and might I just say, it is money well spent. It provides apt storage space, as well as his and her closets.

Chris, the main office 'guru' has been more than helpful and has been quick to address any issues we have had.

Although we will not be renewing our lease, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Birchall at Ross Bridge to those seeking temporary residence in a pleasant apartment community.

I moved in to Birchall over a year ago and am very happy about my decision. The property is beautiful and although there has been some turnover in staff, they are always friendly and helpful. The maintenance is wonderful as well. I have lived in several apartments in the Hoover area and this by far is the Best in Hoover/Birmingham!

First of all let me start by saying that I have lived in this community since it was first built. I have seen many people come and go from this complex and not everything is as it seems. First of all, as one of the previous tenants stated, they promised that trash removal would be included in the lease agreement. It has been over a year, and I am still taking my own trash to the dumpster.

Secondly, the noise issue in these apartments goes way beyond the normal complex. I have someone above me and to the right of me and I can hear every single thing they do, including their conversations. I realized what the problem is when they came into my unit to replace something on the sprinkler systems and realized there is absolutely no insulation in the walls.

I have found out from multiple tenants that moved into this complex to get away from the "normal" apartment lifestyle that most people are used, and I have found out since that they are cutting special deals and letting anyone in to get the complex near maximum capacity so that they can start building their new complex across the street.

There have been multiple break ins, and the police are out here at least once a month do to domestic disputes. The on call officers here are not real police officers and they do not help when you call them.

Please think very hard about paying the extra money to live in this complex. All I hear is complaints at this point and I can't wait until my lease is up.

While my apartment is very nice and everything is new I have had a few problems. I was promised valet trash when I signed my lease. I have lived here for a year and still have no valet trash. I have had problems being informed when I have packages that have been delivered to the office. My air conditioning quit working one evening in the middle of summer and no one answered the emergency pager. It was over 90 degrees in my apartment. Not fun! There has been burgulary in these apartments. It seems that they are desperate to fill them so they are cutting the rent. This has attracted a bit of a bad element. I don't feel as safe as I once did here.
