Apartment Reviews for Woodbrook - Gardendale

This place is great. Beautiful grounds, friendly neighbors, family atmosphere...including grills and picnic tables. The homes are large and spacious and nicely decorated. Parking can sometimes be an issue but not enough to complain about. Kids/teens are well behaved and quiet late at night. My only complaint - pool monitoring or lack of. It is very frustrating to see people that do not live at the complex drive w/their family, cooler, guests, etc., and just come on in and help themselves to OUR pool. They are not kicked out and I have never seen them questioned. One lady has been coming for years. It is especially bad at night when the management office closed. Just last week a truckload of huge guys were at the pool and they were very rough and rowdy in the pool. Again, no pool monitoring. This past weekend we had tenants with cases of beer (against pool rules), one couple that was NON-tenant getting very "romantic" in front of kids and all, while the 'babysitter' was watching the baby, who was NOT in a swim diaper but a regular pampers, which was leaking white stuff. Also, there is smoking allowed at the pool so you step on nasty cigarette butts everywhere. It is especially discouraging when you see a member of the maintenance staff enjoying the use of the pool and allowing this stuff to go on. That is my only complaint. Non-residents should not be allowed to use this pool. They do not take care of it but then again, neither do some of the tenants and maintenance that live there. I went to some other private pools to see if I could 'sneak' in - oh no. They have people monitoring their pools. If you don't live there you don't get in. I wish the management at Woodbrook would police that policy. I could let it slide about tenants breaking some of the rules - but not the non-tenants breaking all the rules.
