Review for Inverness Lakes Club Apartments

During the four years that I lived here there was numerous turnover of personnel and ownership. The place was very transient with a lot of people moving in and out. In fact the day that I moved in there were two people moving out. These apartments are often rented out to corporations, such as insurance adjusters after hurricanes. My apartment leaked in 4 places, yet I could never get anything properly fixed. There was mold on the carpeting in one closet, yet the maintenance man shrugged it off when he saw it. Water seeped into the building along the base of the outer walls. During heavy runs the roof and windows leaked. The current apartment manager is very defensive and combative when approached with these issues. My rent was raised 6% every year. The buildings were poorly constructed. After Hurricane Katrina this complex suffered the most damage, by far, of any complex in west Mobile, with very extensive roof damage. One building had to be jacked up because of washout beneath the foundation. The first thing that you see upon driving into the complex is the trash compactor, which is nasty, stinking, and usually overflowing with trash. Sometimes it is out of order, which can last months.
