Review for Ski Lodge Apartments

To Ski Lodge and Evans Realty:

We tried to come back and finish moving after the resident manager and the after-hours service said that you were reasonable and sympathetic. My 10 year old son was held at knife point yesterday by a mentally ill man. We were with police and such until 3 pm. We tried to get out by the 31st but when we called the after hours service to request another day we were assured we would not be putting anyone out by getting out on the first. The office wouldn't even be available for a phone call until Tuesday afternoon. That was their words and not mine. They were wrong. We arrived this morning and we were greeted by a maintenance man saying that he was doing a "big job on his own". Five minutes later, 8 to 10 people walked out of the apartment with several of my belongings. We found a couple of crack or methamphetamine pipes later. I am very saddened by the fact that these are the kind of people you employ. Believe me I will tell others of my experience with Evans Realty. I was told to get EVERYTHING out inluding trash but when I returned to finish I found the door locked. I did what I could do before I was locked out of the apartment. I am still missing many of my belongings. I was just notifying you to the fact that we tried to leave and follow the policy of vacating correctly but we were not afforded the opportunity. My family had a cellular telephone stolen in the process of this. We had to leave the door unlocked while we were making trips to our new residence to move our things, because the locks had already been changed. This was AFTER we had called to make sure we had another day to work. Thank you for your time. This is not the first time I have emailed this realty about shenanigans at this apartment complex. I hope that you will ACTUALLY contact me about my tenure there. Again thank you for my opportunity to air my grievances. I have never been treated so badly by a realty company before.


This was the actual email that I sent last week to Evans Realty. Evans Realty has still not contacted me about this matter. I even told the after-hours company that I would pay rent for the extra day and was assured that it would not be necessary considering the circumstances. I just want the things that were STOLEN from me. I lost many belongings including things that have been passed down in my family for generations. I am very saddened by this and hope they will change their ways. I was assured that nothing had been removed from our apartment by the manager but she either didn't know what she was talking about or was covering up for the maintenance worker. I am not sure which. I just know that they stole from me.
