I've lived here six months and have had six close calls with the scorpions living in this building. We just brought our newborn home from the hospital and in three days she almost lost her life. I was holding her in my arms and a scorpion was one inch from her head!! After each encounter, Lisa, the manager sent a pest control man to spray the apartment. He comes every week to spray numerous apartments. The manager stated all the building have scorpions and we can be relocated to another scorpion-infested apartment because "some buildings are worse than others". I was pregnant at the time of mov in and safety was a huge concern. I asked why weren't we warned before moving in and she stated, "We'd be out of business". Bark scorpions are deadly to allergic adults and all infants. Lisa simply stated, "They're not poisonous. They're just a nusance. Scorpions in Arizona are everywhere." Well Lisa, I've lived in Arizona over twenty years and have never seen a scorpion in my home...until Olive Grove.
