I have lived at the greens since april of 06, and i do plan to move out when my lease expires. The only reason we are leaving is the cost, there are houses in this same area that rent for a little more than we pay here.
We have a 1 bedroom apartment, with an attached garage. I've always felt secure here. The apt has wood floors, vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, decent appliances and all around good fixtures. It is a very open and spacious floor plan.
Security: I feel very secure here, more than once i have accidently left my garage door open, even over night and not a thing in my garage was bothered. My truck has never been touched, and my jeep is always in the garage. I have yet to see the police here for any thing, but that doesn't mean its not happening.
Noise: i have loud neibors, they can't seam to close doors with out slamming them, and i think they got a surround sound system for x-mas, since x-mas every now and again their tv is clearly audible in my apartment. Its not so bad that you can hear voices, but the slamming doors and loud tv can be heard. Also, a few people in my area have loud cars, trucks and bikes. They can get annoying to me, since they like to hear their own exhaust a bit much. I don't work the average work week, so its really annoying when they all take off for work at 6:30a and i'm trying to sleep...but thats all part of living in an apartment complex.
Scorpions and other critters: I have seen 1 scorpion since moving in here. it was right after i moved in and it was in the middle of the kitchen floor. I didn't think it was a big deal, if you don't like scorpions move out of the desert.
service: I haven't really needed service for any thing major, but the minor things i needed and wanted were addressed quickly. Even if it was a rediculous request. One of my requests was to have a light fixture cleaned out (there was stuff on the inside of the globe and it looked shitty, and i couldn't reach it), it was cleaned the next day. the service guys are really friendly too.
management: again, i haven't really needed them beyond picking up a package and paying my rent, but they always remember me by name and are friendly.
Children: I have no kids, i want no kids and i hate having to listen to other peoples screaming kids. This place is perfect for me, but if your a parent you may want to look elsewhere. There aren't a lot of children that live here and there isn't a "play area" for children. A big plus for me!
over all its a clean, good looking complex with great fetures for an apartment and a good staff. If i don't find a house in my price range i will certainly sign up for another year lease. I like it here.
