Review for Camden Pecos Ranch Apartments

I had intended to rent at this community today but the way I was treated has made my decision not to rent. Too bad for them because I am a fantastic renter.

I have called Camden pecos ranch a couple times and have decided that I want to live there. I go to the property to take a tour last monday but there was not a floorplan to view of what I needed so I intended on coming back Sunday when they would have one to show.

When I was at the property last Monday, the agent told me that I would have to put an application fee down and a an admin fee of $200 to hold an apartment and that was a special. I was concerned about putting that much down because if I was conditionally approved, I would have to put down a whole months deposit and I was not going to do that. So if I could not do that, she said I would loose that $200 in addition to the application fee. That was alot to loose for me as I do not know weather I would be an instant approve or conditionally approved. There is no way I would be denied. The agent then told me to call back Sunday and find out if the admin fee has been reduced because she knew that this was the weekend that I planned on reserving something.

I call the property today to do just that. I asked what the admin fee was and who ever answered the phone this time around was so rude! She was CLEARLY not interested in talking to me because she asked me when I wanted to move and I told her the end of October- worst case early November and she tells me "we don't have any specials for that far out" and that was it! end of the phone conversation. She was not interested in helping me further. Did not even ask my name! Had I had been looking to move in immidiatly- I am sure she would have showed more interest in me but I am needing to reserve something now so I can be sure I have a home at a place I want to live at.

I am not a last minutte person because I dont want to run into a situation where I waited to long and now there is no availibility. In addition... I am NOT looking for next year.... more like next month. I do not feel like my timing to look is un-reasonable. I also do not feel like she was honest with me because last week when I came in, There WAS a special "that far out" but the agent told me to call Sunday and see if it got better. I feel like this agent today just told me that to get me off the phone.

Anyways- I am upset because I wanted to live there but I dont deserve to be treated that way because I am not moving today. But like I mentioned earlier- it truley is there loss.
