Apartment Reviews for Dobson Towne Centre - Chandler

I have lived and looked at a lot of apartments in the East Valley area, living in Ahwatukee, No. Scottsdale (MMR), Mesa, Maricopa, and Chandler. After making the decision to move out of Maricopa the first place that I visited was DTC, I have stayed with friends here before and always felt safe and loved being close to a lot of stuff to do. There are also great delivery services in the area that will bring you your grocies to your dinner because the location is so convienient.

Like other reviews it seems that there is a high turn over in the office staff. I can't say that I have had the best experience with the office staff, but when I needed them to accomodate me prior to my move a quick visit into the office made them consider my needs more of a priority. I would say that they are probably understaffed for the amount of work that they have and are overloaded with expectations by the management company that they work for.

I asked if there were scorpions and they were honest and said yes that there is a posibility that I may see some but to make sure that they don't have a food source at my home and they will stay away. My previous stays (2005) at DTC I have yet to see a scorpion.

Overall, I find that the community is well taken care of, and that if you have an issue it is going to be resolved. If it is something easy to fix, I will do it myself instead of going through all of the hassle of setting up a maintance appt, even though the maintainance is 24/7 for emergancies and rather snappy. I just don't like strangers in my living space.

If you face Dobson, some people like to drag race on the weekends and it can wake you up. If you don't face Dobson than you are ok unless you have noisey neighbors.

The community has special events for residents often that are sponsored so there is no out of pocket for the resident. The grounds are clean and tidy, and the pools and community areas are in good condition.
