Our Review for Towne Square Apartments

Towne Square Apartments sit right off the 101, 3 miles west of downtown Chandler. Entertainment and fine dining like Tonic and the Elephant Bar Restaurant can be found down the street at the Chandler Fashion Center. Costco is also at the center for residents produce and miscellaneous needs. For closer shopping, the Santana Shopping Center is down the street. Three parks, the closest of which is Thude Park across the freeway, surround the complex and make exercising easy. In spite of reasonable prices, several reviewers had trouble with management concerning lease renewal and with maintenance concerning timely fixes. However, reviewers did like the quiet and convenient location.

Love Living at Towne Square, have been here several years and I am still happy to call it home. The staff are attentive and are quick to address your problems and maintenance are on point. The neighborhood is quiet and very lush, close to all amenities. Proud to call it home.

I just moved here from California and I can't believe how nice this place is. The rents are incredibly low for such a nice apartment. I'm only paying $850 for a 2 bedroom. Maintenance is quick at coming out to complete work orders when they occur. The staff in the front office has been very pleasant to work with. Area is awesome.

Towne Square is a very beautiful place in which to live. They are very attentive to appearances and keep the place very lush and green. During my stay they also painted the exteriors of all the buildings and put up new walls in place of the deteriorating wooden panels for the ground floor apts on the Metro side. They have newer apartments on the Federal side of the street that just got a new paint job.

Maintenance was pretty on point; things were usually attended to the same day we reported a problem. The only real scare was the crumbling caulk around the bathroom tub had mildew underneath. For some reason that took a week to respond to. Also, as someone else had mentioned, they do turn off the water at random times during the week (sometimes from 8AM - 4PM!) so hopefully you're early to rise every morning.

I really did like the area; it's close to the Chandler mall and freeway but once our car broke down it was a pain to get anywhere. The closest public transport into Tempe (Rural or McClintock buses) for school was a 20min walk away and that's just unbearable during the Fall when temps are over 100F.

And the office staff... probably the rudest people I have ever met in my life. We would go into the office to discuss a problem with the apartment and return the following day to see if anything had been done to resolve it. We would talk with the VERY same woman as before and she would treat us as if she had never seen us in her life and was just so rude about it like we were wasting her time by being there. And it's not just one of them that is like this... several of the staff are like this. Especially Susan (I believe she is the one with the accent); she will treat you like garbage. She was the one that sprung the: "now that you've renewed the lease, we'll be upping the charges on your unit by $150" and scribbled in the new prices over the old ones that we had signed/agreed to! And she made sure to remind us that if we tried to break the lease we'd be charged a ton and it would go on our credit statements. It was just so unreal to us that we were bullied into another year here.

We were ready the next year and made sure to give our two months notice before they could up the rent by another $100 (yes, we called and confirmed before anything was signed this time around). But it was just so unbelievable. My advice: get copies of everything and make sure that if they try to scribble anything out, you have the original on you. Or better yet, video tape any interactions with them just to save yourself the trouble.

Again... it's a beautiful place to live. I've never felt unsafe there and was able to run outside at all times of the day/night. Food around the area is great. If rent could stay constant and you can keep your interactions with the office staff to a minimum, I would recommend the apts.

Just moved here from Michigan. People, this place is HOT!!! My husband and I rented our apartment at Towne Square sight unseen and long distance. We only had the websites and pics to go by. Our experience has been really good. The office staff made what could have been a very stressful move very, very, easy. Aside from being homesick and trying to adjust to this new brutal climate, we are happy that we have a homebase at Towne Square. We recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are moving here from out of state.

If you are looking for an affordable place to live, look no further than Towne Square. I just moved here from Omaha to work in Chandler and found this place online. I was a little hesitant to rent in a place site unseen, but I had no choice. Well when I moved in, I wasn't disappointed. The staff is very helpful and my apartment was nice and clean. The location is great, close to work, shopping and restaurants. Chandler definitely isn't like Omaha, but the staff at Towne Square have helped me make this place feel more like home

I recently rented my apartment online sight useen and was rather uncertain about this, but on move in I was not disappointed, my two bedroom was beautiful very clean and looks fantastic now that my furniture is in place. The minor maintainence issues I have had have been dealt with in an efficient and friendly way. The leasing office staff are first rate and are always willing to go that extra mile. The community is set in a very residential area and is vey quite and peaceful. If you are relocating or just moving to this area this would be an excellent choice, I recommend this to all my friends.

Even though I've moved from Towne Square into a house, I'll always remember what a pleasant experience I had. I enjoyed the workout room and the staff was always so helpful and friendly. My small one bedroom apartment was very cozy and compfortable. I will miss the employees that I got to know. I highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a nice place.

The staff gave me the run around, I had five scheduled trips to view my apt and every time there was something either they had not started to turn the apt yet, they weren't done or someone rented the place out. For two weeks I tried to view my apt. The staff were inconsiderate of my time and my concerns. I finally found this site and when I saw the reviews it was the final straw i was done. I didn't want anything to do with Towne Square.

The office personnel swear by the so called security on site. The one cop who lives in the complex and is never around. Three tires in my car were slashed while parked in a covered spot. I told the front office about it and they weren't even mildly concerned and where was the so called security that you never see? As soon as I can I'm out of this hole.

I recently moved out of Towne square because it was time for our family to have its own home. All of you who do not appreciate being able to call a office and get a work order completed regardless of time frames should really try flipping through a phone book to find the most resonably priced handy manon a holiday. I never felt animosity towards the complex or its staff. I wanted to save money and that is why I chose a unit built in 1988 just like the rest of you who write these reviews, but the only difference is that I expect a unit built in 1988 not a mark taylor luxury 2 bedroom apartment for $700.00. For anyone that reads these reviews and is not considering Towne Sqaure realize that the people who write these reviews are high maitenance and vent through this site because they do not always get what they want. Trust only your judgement. You do get what you pay for and that is why the offer several diffent floorplans. The newer ones are more expensive but definetly very beautiful & the older ones are a bargain (especially for the area). <P>

I would have to say that anyone who is saying they are fooled by the model should stop by the office and have a leasing agent take them up to the model so that they can see for their very own eyes that the model is exactly like all of the other apartments of the same style; that is of course except for the extremely nice furniture which helps in the overall appearance. Maybe they should have a decorator re-do their apartment and they'd see that their apartment can be as nice as the model. As for installing their own washer and dryer, are they willing to take full responsibility for every other apartment in the building if their washer or dryer floods? Are they willing to pay for the water extraction and all other repairs. Besides this what is expected for an apartment built in 1988 and only costs $700/month? Not to mention that in every apartment you are going to hear the upstairs neighbors, get a house if you want peace and quiet.

Secondly, I would ask to speak to the manager she may need you to set an appointment but she will sit down and discuss any issues you may have. She will probably even be able to solve your problems if she's given the chance. I've lived here for two years and every time I've been that unsatisfied with ANYTHING I've made an appointment, met with her and the problems have been taken care of.
