Apartment Reviews for Archstone At Arrowhead - Glendale

I have lived in this complex since 2002. I have lived in both one bedroom and the two bedroom. Both are very spacious with lots of room for storage. Price is reasonable considering the area that they are located in. Washer and Dryer (full size) comes with every apartment. Not alot of "criminal" activity here, they do a good job weeding out the bad folk. Since the new company took over the security patrols, lots of changes for the good. They come by several times a night, in Marked cars. The gates are now closed full time, vs when I moved here in 2002 they were open while the office was open. Management has changed a few times, however the crew they got now, are excellent. Repairs are done within 24 hrs of being notified, unless there is a request to not enter the apartment when people are not home, those are done every Wednesday. I like the convience of the freeway, however you do hear the traffic if you are close to 79th avenue. anywhere else, not alot of noise at all. Noisy tennants are often caught by security patrols before they get out of hand. Garages available, and often go for less than what they price at. Security Gate does have a clicker option, not widely advertised, only by word of mouth. Landscaping is great. We are approaching Summer heat, and I've noticed alot of HUGE beatles at the shopping mall, or grocery stores around the area, however NONE seen here. Transferring from 1 to 2 bedroom, or another Archstone complex across the US, is very easy and requires no deposits. I love that fact that they hold packages for you when you are not home. There is alot of fun activities planned for adults and kids monthly. Pools are very clear, no damage, even a great waterfall. There is a resort style gym, which I use alot... Several different people here, I've seen elderly to newly married, to single, to group of friends renting together. My neighbors watch out for me, since I live alone.

The community is very well kept. I can't complain. Everytime I have a request it gets taken care of for the most part right away. I really enjoy living here and most importantly the location close access to the freeway, shopping and dining yet in a residential quiet area.

as a visitor over the years to a family member to the community of Archstone I have seen good and bad. The maintenance crew is good, the office staff for the most part very friendly and considering the size of the complex it is kept up quite well. There are bad neighbors, parties that get loud at night, alcohol around small children and often times signs of abuse which go unnoticed unless neighbors get involved and call police. I am sure the damege to this unit was quite extensive as could be told by the noise, they are now evicted. I have noticed alot of small children left unattended to roam the complex, some on motorized vehicles driving through the complex--the noise is disturing and the safety issues are unbearable to even think about. I watched as a boy no more than 10 rode an engine powered mini mortorcycle, no helmet through the parking lot dodging cars justr days ago. The maintenance staff had to have noticed him and I am sure the office staff does all it can to prevent such things, it just seems that it is one thing after another at this place. My family member intends to move on at some point in the future. I just do not think a complex this size can be well managed all the time. As far as the gates, they are useless. I do not live there and come in behind other cars whenever I want- Usually it is not necessary since the gates are for the most part always open. As a security issue-the gates are useless.

I have only lived here a month and am not around till the evening. The only problem I have is that my upstairs neighbors are pretty loud. I hear they are trying to get evicted so they can break their lease. Another things is the gated access. It has been a week now that it has been wide open all day every day. When I asked the office she responded with good quetion. Not the answer I wanted. I have yet to see my electric and water bill, it will interesting if they quoted me correctly.
