Apartment Reviews for Cantamar
Cantamar-Land of Cattle and Inmates

Since the property has been sold and taken over by new management in 1999 (Sky West), it has gone very downhill. Amenities were canceled or removed and customer service was lessened. Then rent was not lowered like the general market in Phoenix but tenants were then required to pick up the water bills for the entire property, including lush landscaping that only the office personnel enjoy. Security and Courtesy patrols were canceled or replaced with cutrate companies that do not respond quickly or at all. Crime rate is up and when the management was told who the likely parties that were responsible for vandalism were, they did not pursue the matter because they were tenants. Customer service is almost non-existent and if a request, no matter how reasonable, involves the management having to spend any money it will most likely be denied. Thsi is while the management company is expanding and spending more money in areas that do not benefit tenants very much like social programs. Often trash pickup is lacking and a drive through complex reveals overflowing dumpsters that are eyesores. Management is very strict about what items can be left on patio and applies to much time to being The Patio Police when they could do better to spend their time improving other services to tenants. They treat tenants like it is a privaledge to allow the tenants to live there and they shouldn't complain. That in light of Canatamar is one of the higher rents in the area and has fewer amenities to justify the rent. The old management headed by Paula Whitlock did a wonderful job...I am moving and will track them down to live in their apatment, they knew what they were doing, Thank You Paula!
