hi just wanted to give my review for anyone looking for a place and considering Shadow Mountain Apartments. Ive lived here a couple years and personally have had no major issues so far but it is definitely changing and i don't feel that its changing for the good. the quality of the residents moving in is as low as it gets which is odd considering they raised the rent by a huge amount and have no started charging for water as well. the only thing i can think of that would explain this would be that they are not screening people as well so that even though the rent is a bit high the scum rents here anyway because they are ABLE to rent here. i would venture to say that 1/2 to 2/3 of the residents are not legal citizens of the united states, and there are Any more people living here then are on the leases (meaning one guy is on the lease and he has 10 of his buddies living with him) everyone I've met so far has been nice though and honestly the most annoying residents are the trashy white people that live here and complain constantly ( i am white myself so i feel its OK to make that statement) everyone else just leaves me alone and will smile back if smiled at. i have never seen any bugs in my apartment , though i hear its a problem in some (maybe they need to clean?) and i have had not seen any crimes in progress or heard of anything other then a couple stolen cars (this happens at ALL apartments) all in all it was a great place to live but i would have to say its gone down hill. i would recommend it for Hispanics ,it is much nicer then most places where illegals live but probably not the best place for intolerant people or picky folks.
