avoid moving in this apartment complex. ( 07/02/2012 )

as a former resident, i will not recommend this complex. surprise police department responds all the time. domestic violance, curfew violations, unruly residents. swimming pools constantly closed because of algae. parents do not supervise their children; the children "run amock". most management employees speak english as their second language. apartments are "run down" due to neglect to properly maintain because of owner/management money issues. water is turned-off on a regular basis, due to leaks in the plumbing system. hud inpections are constantly scheduled due to code violations.

I lived at Cottage Park from ages 5 to 15. During my stay I resided in an apartment and a larger townhouse. I could not have wished for a more idealistic place to grow up in. When I was there, it was all desert, no McDonald's or Wal-Mart even. It was a big deal when just a gas station was built. The grounds on Cottage Park were so beautiful, and I had many friendly neighbors, some of whom I am still close friends with today. I'm sure some of the atmosphere has changed, but Cottage Park was heaven on Earth to me as a kid and it remains the one place I think of when I hear the word home.
