Finisterra is a nice place to live with a great location in South Tempe right off I-10 and Elliot. I have lived here for 10 years in a 3 bedroom and then transfered to a 1 bedroom after my roommates left.
My family and friends say I live in a resort. The complex is a gated community and there is adequate parking for visitors. A friend lives over at a community on 48th south of Ray and was struck by the number of unassigned spaces we have at Finisterra. Until I visited that complex and had to walk from the front gate to the back of that community, did I realize how much I valued the close parking here at Finisterra when friends stop by. My only pain is that people park in my covered spot every now and then, but this has pretty much stopped since tenants now have ability to call and get cars towed!
There are 2 pools with a jacuzzi in the main pool area near the office. The main pool is very well kept and just went thru a major retile and is very relaxing with a water fall fountain an plenty of lounges and 2 covered tables and chairs.
There is a nice fitness center with treadmills, eliptical machines, free weights and a small circuit of machines. The complex office does lend movies to residents at no charge, in case there is nothing on Cox cable or Direct Tv.
I have had very few major repairs required in my stay here. A new washing machine and microwave in my 8th year. As major appliances it did take a couple of days to order, but I really have no complaints since they are included in the rent. If both were mine I would have had to spend $$$ to have them replaced and here it was as easy as a phone call. Minor repairs like a clogged disposal or a replacement key were fixed most often with in 24 hours.
The complex is quiet and has lots of open spaces in between the buildings. I have been to other complexes so densely packed that you feel you are right on top of your neighbors in the next building. There was a time when this has a lot of college students, but there seems to be more familys and professionals living here. Aside from all that I have mentioned, it is a great location and central to work and play for me.
