If you think you should be valued and respected as a tenent then don't move to Foxtree (or any Aimco properties). Each staff member has a different answer to the same question, they change the rules frequently without giving notice, they are nice one minute and then they are giving you eviction notices the next minute. Here are a few examples of what I mean: 1. I have lived there for 2 1/2 years with my dog (who is 11 years old - full grown). My dog was invited into the leasing office when we signed the lease. They have pictures of my dog in my file. Yesterday I received a 10 day eviction notice if I didn't get rid of my dog. They say the weight limit is now 20lbs instead of 35lbs. I have signed 3 leases there and have never been notified (nor is it in my lease) that the weight limit was lowered or that my dog was no longer welcome. (Not to mention the fact that there are other dogs living there that are larger than mine). 2. They used to give you until the 5th or 6th of every month to pay your rent - without any written notice they changed that to the 1st or 2nd. 3. We were about to upgrade to a larger, more expensive apartment at Foxtree. The assistant manager had no idea what the transfer policy was and had to ask a leasing agent who told us that we could transfer to the new apartment, not pay a new deposit and we could keep the length of our current lease. Then the manager told us we would have to pay the deposit ($500) and a $300 transfer fee and a new 12 month lease. 4. We were without working drains for 4 days. Our toilet was backing up into our sinks and shower everytime we flushed it. And our garbage disposal was backing up into our dishwasher. The repair guys didn't come for 4 days, and I called for 4 days straight. We couldn't hardly live in our apartment. To sum all this up, research before you move into an Aimco property. Their staff has no idea what is going on, they are rude and really don't care about the residents at all. I would NOT recommend living here. It is not worth the money (which they increase very frequently).
