I had moved in and within 48hrs the managers wanted the checklist returned. I do not know why becuase they did not respond back to the numerous unacceptable problems with the apartment. First thing that happened when I plugged in the lamp I had to purchase the first day in because there were no light fixtures in the bedroom, I was shocked. Two of the outlets in bedroom were blown. The ceiling leaked in three places, unfortunately I found this out at 1am when I called the emergency maintenance number they said someone would contact me shortly, an hour later I called back they apologized but said they were just the answering service and could not contact anyone but did leave a message. About 10 am the next day I called the Manager and she sent someone over only to tell us they had a problem here before and would call a subcontractor to have the roof looked at and possibly resealed again. I was very upset, and felt my possessions could possibly be ruined so I did not use my bedroom for 4 1/2 weeks till they resealed the roof. How ridiculous, and unprofessional. The 2 holes in the wall under the sink and in a closet, I had to calk/seal myself because the managers said they fired the old manager and they were behind on maintenance. The lake area is dark and potentially dangerous for anyone out there in the evening ours and some fish were found floating dead, a couple weeks before I left. The elevators are creeking and get stuck periodically, ask anyone, they laugh and say it sucks but its difficult to climb all the stairs in the dark with groceries and such. For the rent they charge, they should be charged for unsanitary land and dangerous halls and stairs. Let me also mention the fowl smell when it happens to rain, you have to walk through a swamplike lake in the parking lot because it does not drain properly. I have never rented an apartment with these issues before and I will definately research if I have to live an apartment again!
