Rented 8/04, friendly management at the time. One year later there is a new manager, Laura, and new staff. Grant, the previous manager went to manage Desert Palms (right next to Rancho). IMT owns both Rancho and Desert Palms. Laura and her staff are very friendly initially and are good at selling (leasing) the apartments. Once you have signed the lease, they act as if you are bothering them if you have any questions or concerns - yet you are the tenant! Complex is noisy due to college student's music and parties. Maintenance is quick to respond to any issues. The units are showing their age, and are dark inside. If the blinds are kept open all the time, it helps but does not solve actually how dark the apartments truly are. Remember, the units are shown with blinds open. Also, there isn't any overhead lighting, except in the kitchen. Check out on the web Tempe Crime Analysis Unit web page which lists by apartment complex for a good crime read on any complex in Tempe. A policeman at the Tempe police station told me " apartment complexes are buffets for criminals no matter what complex you select". My conclusion on Rancho Murietta is people come, stay a year, and move. I will be.
