Apartment Review for The Gateway At Tempe

dear god this place is terrible. roommate matching sucks. the lease is iron clad. my boyfriend lives here, and they try to tow my car CONSTANTLY. they tow your car if you dont get a parking pass (only available m-f 830-7) if you park in the wrong place, or if you back in. They dont tow on weekends, which they'll brag about, but they sure do tow bright and early monday am. they also wont register my car in his name, even though they told us he'd be able to! the "gates for saftey" are always broken. His roommates are awful, but you cant move unless you pay $300 and they'll move you to another unit. There isnt a pest problem, except the people that live here. The local students call this place "rape-way". we just got a letter about several break-ins. it kindly reminded us that alarms could be activated FOR A MONTHLY FEE! also, pets cant even come to visit. its "against their insurance policy." (so no, your mom cant bring her poodle) You cant even have a caged pet without "an apartment upgrade". This place is FULL of rules, but theres no handbook. they'll still site you. The maintenance staff is very nice. The gym is dirty and after their "pool parties" every saturday, they close the gym for "cleaning" until tuesday. EVERY WEEK. this place is PAINFUL. P-A-I-N-F-U-L, awful, overpriced and I swear the office staff is rude. YOU MIGHT AS WELL LIVE IN THE DORMS!
