Apartment Review for Vista Del Sol

I lived here for 2 years, the first year I had roommates who smoked a lot and drank a lot, and while I had hoped something would be done since the Lease agreement allegedly said no smoking, nothing was ever done.

If you plan to live here as any sort of actual academic pursuit, think again. On most weekdays during the school year, it is very loud at night with kids partying and drinking, so you'll have a hard time concentrating. I lived on the first floor my 2nd year here, and drunken idiots would randomly pound on the windows.

There was a pretty major problem, at least on the first floor, with grasshoppers, over the course of my year I killed probably enough grasshoppers and other bugs to get a license as an exterminator I'm sure, they apparently don't spray for them or so it would seem, and so I had major pest problems, particularly in the warmer summer months, with up to say a half dozen getting in a day.

In the summer I decided to take a summer class since I'm living so close to campus anyway, and the Manager wouldn't even give me a 4 day extension on move-out for the class without charging ridiculous rates, despite it being an apartment complex directed toward students(I heard you had to be a student to be able to live there so I'm not sure why they were so stingy toward students). The policies are very ridiculous.

I would not recommend it as a place to stay even as a last resort.
