Review for Los Portales Apartments

My wife and I (both disabled) have been here for almost 5 years. Things have gone MAJORLY downhill with the new management. We have pot smoking, floor jumping, gang member wannabees above us..(smoke pot on the balcony) and management won't do anything about it. They tell me there is nothing they can do and I have to just deal with it. BULL!! Our common-wall neighbor(military) was broken into(12-10-07) and 3 firearms (and more) stolen. The front door was kicked, but they broke the windows next to the front door. THEY ARE MAKING HIM PAY FOR IT!!!.. as it is NOT covered under vandalism!! - Security drives once around the complex every few hours, that is all. When we moved from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom, they made us pay for painting the walls and shampooing the carpet..(Been there for 4 years). Overall, the management doesnt care about the tenant complaints and LOS PORTALES is QUICKY turning into a SLUM. Both my wife and I are armed & have our CCW's, so we feel somewhat safe, but I guarantee that withing a few years this place will be a druggy infested, run down meth lab of a complex. STAY AWAY!!!! Even the military here isn't safe!!!
