I've been at Hilands for a few years and I can agree with the issues posted here by prior residents. I came to learn early -- with advice from a young tenant -- if you don't complain frequently to management about small problems with your unit, major issues will be resolved more quickly. I've come to realize I can do minor repairs and adjustments in my first floor apartment, rather than have maintenance break something else while dealing with a repair. I live on first floor, so I hear my second floor neighbor using his toilet, shower and sink disposal. And being on the ground floor is an invite to small critters, therefore I have several of Ant&Roach killer at hand. Mold and dust is a big concern at Hilands. My car has been damaged by the grounds crew, but so far it's not been stolen. Other neighbors haven't been so lucky. Like my heading indicates, living at Hilands can be a good experience or time spent in ****. There are nicer apartment locations thruout Tucson -- some nicer -- some rather dangerous to live in. It boils down to carefully researching these review sites and then deciding on how much you wish to spend in rental fees.

I have to agree with some of the other tenants- the office staff all have their heads up their butts and they are snotty. Chris does't get anything done. I have had problems since I moved in- you can hear everything. Get used to the noise, cause the office doesn't do anything about it. They tell you to call the cops. I have had my water and electric shut off a few times due to a few plumbing and electical problems. It has been nothing but headaches and they keep increasing the rent . I know people who pay 100 less than me for the same apartment. <P>

Don't live Here!!!!!!! This administration is the worst. All of the assistats have a different version of all the situation. Extra charges come out from I don't know where. When they say that they are going to call you to give you answeres they lie. I for some reason you have a credit with them, thats lost money. <P>
I would pay twice of the rent amount in other place. Chris, Priscilla, Jen, you are the worst. <P>

The grounds are like living in a park ... hard to believe it is Tucson and not the Northwest .... Apartments are older but decent, although new carpeting is needed. <P>

I would say that out of the places I have lived that Hilands has been the most enjoyable. The staff is courteous and efficient in its effort to make your stay enjoyable. They always handled my complaints (which were few) with tact and understanding. And yes like one of the other reviews said they do have a VERY good looking staff especially the guys! ;) I would definately live there again if I ever return to the Tucson area!

I have lived at Hilands for 4 years. The views take your breath away, and the grounds are well kept and a pleasure to live on. You'll never see so much grass in AZ. I have had nothing but great experiences with the staff recently, they are so friendly and they seem to really care. Not to mention, there's some good looking ones :) Awesome place to live!

I have been a resident at Hilands for 1 year and I plan to renew my lease upon it's expiration. The location of Hilands is great, it's views are beautiful and the floorplans are very spacious.
The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They have made my experiance very enjoyable and they have been wonderful when it comes to maintenance repairs that I request. They are completed in a timely matter and fixed right the first time.
I highly recommend Hilands if you are looking for a quite well-groomed and friendly atmosphere. A+++

Chris is the Hilands management. He is a racist. I recommend that you finding an apartment should find other apts but Hilands because of ******* him.
