Review for Fair Park Apartments

When we first moved in we had great managers. However, after Lindsey opened up newer apartments, the managers moved on to those apartments and we got stuck with ones that thought that managing a 240 unit complex was a part time job. The maintenance of the complex fell considerably, large families (6+ people) were allowed to move into 2 bedroom apartments, and many of the rules of the complex (eg. no animals over 15 lbs) were completely ignored.

After finding out that my wife was pregnant with our second child, we determined that we would need to find a larger place. We told the managers that we would need to move out in three months and that while we knew that we were breaking our lease, we would be happy to pay an additional month and lose our deposit. They told us that we would have to pay three months if they were unable to lease our apartment. After waiting a month with no leads, I called the office and asked if they had any 2 bed room units available in December (when we told them we wanted to move). I was told that they didn't have any available. They also advertised in the local paper several units available in December, but none in our complex.

My wife and I then went to a lawyer and were told just to pack up and leave. We did and couldn't be happier.
