I have lived here for about 8 months and have no complaints, unlike some of the other reviews. The location is great being in a super clean residential neighborhood really close to Warner and Disney studios. There is a grocery store and starbucks right down the street within walking distance.
The staff has always been friendly although I have noticed that the office is occasionally closed during hours they are supposed to be open.
The buildings, while older (most built in the 1960's) are well maintaned and landscaped. About every 6 weeks I get a notice that they are painting, or doing a mold inspection ect...so the review who said they dont do regular maintenance was wrong. At the beginning of this year I got new sod laid down in front of my door (in the courtyard) and didnt even ask for it.
The noise level is slightly higher than other places I have lived only because the buildings are older and the floors tend to creak more and the walls were built a little thinner back in the 60's. But all my neighbors are nice and quiet.
The only two things that I can say against this complex are: 1. if you get a 1BR you only get one parking space. But street parking has not been a problem and I think you get two spaces with a two bedroom. 2. None of the apartments in my buliding have central heat or air, they have wall units. This is SoCal though so its not a big deal! In the winter I use a blanket and in the summer I keep the windows open.
I think this place is getting a bad rap unfairly. The other reviewers need to keep in mind that it is an apartment complex where you live with other people. Its not the same experience as living in a single family home. It is without a doubt the best apartment I've lived in out of 3 others in Los Angeles.
