Review for Ritz Colony Apartments

The insulation in the walls hear is much better than any other appartment I have lived in. Because it is on top of a hill there is always a good breeze. We chose this appartment almost specifically for the floorplan. We are in the waterford floor plan which is a two bedroom. I like that they are two master bedrooms and they are seperared buy the living room. It is just me and my wife but we use the other bedroom as and office and guest room. I love being able to accomadate freinds and family that are visiting. There are only Three windows and they are all on one side of the house. This causes the house to be pretty dark(we are on the first floor). We bought some new lamps and solved that problem. My wife really enjoys how dark our bedroom stays when she sleeps in on the weekends. One thing I was disapointed in is there policy about no flames on the patio. I bought and electric barbeque that works well even for a picky barbeque nut like me. There is a comunal natural gas barbeque neer the poll. The laundry does not use those handy refillable cards like other appartments I have lived in. Washsers and dryers are quarters only. Washer is $1.25 and Dryer is $1.50. I see that this website only offers me move in dates up to 2006 so it hasn't been updated in a while. But i moved in in mid 2007. Management has been very helpfull and profesional. There are more maintnence people then are needed(in my experiance). I have been hear for a few months. Im still holding out for a garage. There is enough parking that my guests dont get hasseled wich is very important to me. The price is a bit high for the area. But I think this gem is well worth it. There is not much crime to my knowing although we must be near a police station because we hear sirens daily. I definatly would recomend this place to all.
