Review for 47Th Avenue Studios Apartments

Save yourself the trouble. This has all the makings for bad Qi.
Windows that leak (1050), car break ins (despite the security gate), feral cats (that attack!), neighbors that hate each other, crazy cat lady (who leaves poop on your doorstep), prostitution and drug dealing, no arts community (despite what the mgr says). This place doesn't look bad on the outside (1066), but look out. It's tough finding art space, but this isn't it. Few artists live here and the ones that do don't participate in the annual East Bay Open Studios. I say run fast. Run very fast in the opposite direction.

'feral cats (that attack!)' that's hilarious! and sadly, the least of any Oakland dweller's worries. Yes, this is a rough neighborhood. But there are a number of working artists and other good folks in these buildings and those nearby. The 47th Ave buildings are well kept up and the landlord is responsive when something needs fixing. I've lived here 4 years and so far haven't had any problems with my neighbors, break-ins, feral cats or bad qi.
