I made an initial $100 deposit to reserve my apartment, when I found something else I called and canceled within the deadline, they assured me my check would be canceled. A few days later the check shows up on my bank website as CASHED ?!?! I drive there and tell them what happened and asked for my money back. They said they couldn't there superiors in san Francisco would have to mail me my $100. I was Furious! They stole my money and expected me to wait on behalf of their convenience for the refund, when it WASN'T convenient for me to get $100 stolen that I NEEDED that weekend. (this was a Friday) i told them to give me $100 from petty cash and have the management company refund the office. he said there was no petty cash. So I asked him what money they used in case of emergencies like plumbing issues and a broken window in an apartment....he couldn't give me an answer. and they would not give me me $100 I had to wait two weeks for it. Bastards
