Review for Casa Madrid Apartments

The People who run the management and or the leasing office do not care about the people who live in the complex OR the family they invite in. My Husband and I came to visit my daughter's new appartment and could NOT believe the parking..... Absolutely NO place to park for visitors. My Husband recently had spinal surgery and we could not find a closer place to park unless we wanted to park blockes away. They have ONE handicapped parking spot that is always full my daughter tells me. So she told us to park in the prospective parking stall. About an hour into our Visit they towed not only MY car but my daughter's as well because she was parked next to me (With her resident Parking Sticker). The Co that Tows for Casa Madrid is Mr. C's Towing in Los Altomitos... anyone knows how far away that is. We called the Police to find out what happened and they did not know. Looooong story short we Found our vehicles 2 hours later at Mr.C's towing and no way to get ahold of the Management Co in Casa Madrid.

While picking up our cars (after paying $216 fees per car)we open the car to look it over and BAM... Stolen Amp and sub woofers in a box. In lking to the night shift manager we are basically called liars that the Driver's would Never steal anything and that it was stolen before they towed it. Interestingly enough, My Car was looked through thouroughly when it was towed..and I was missing more than just the amp and woofers, but I really didn't care about that, those were petty cd's and a few quoarters and maybe 3 dollars in the center console. We were told to come back in the morning... In threatening the police? we are told it is in a differant jurisdiction and therefore we have to go to the Police dept where the cars are towed. Next morning (In casa Madrid)Management was visited with a very rude managment woman who did not Care about the loss... nor about my husband having no parking. She said Quote" and what do u normally do when you have no handicapped parking" with a snicker. In my asking for a phone Number so I could talk to someone who WOULD help us, I was Informed I could only write a letter.. I asked for a # to reach someone other than her who had authority I was basically told she was it and that she would not talk to me or go any further with me about it...that she wasn't even suppose to be talking to me about it. Get this... she called the Tow Company so , therefore she was involved in what happened, but she was not going to discuss it further.I told her I would have nothing further to do with her...it would be my lawyer I see next. This has been a loooooong drawn out Hassle. All because a Mother and Father wanted to visit their daughter's new appartment. The appartment they are renting my daughter is in No way worth the $ they are charging. The noise it radiculous and they have No Windows, just a screen door in the back.. How depressing. it is a Simple way to make lots of $ off people trying to make a living in life. In doing a search online I found that this management company (Which I FOUND my OWN phone Numbers to) has been turned in the the District Attornies office for Fraud with Tenants) alledgedly not returning deposits and charging money to the tenants Unfairly. Well? that goes along the lines of My complaint. I would Suggest that if you have NO OTHER PLACE to go to live...then mover here under the understanding that THIS is how you will be treated and your family. My Daughter is now looking to get out of her lease, but remember a lease signed means that you are stuck for a year... Be careful of your choice, it's like a relationship, make sure it is a good thing cos other wise a year could be a lifetime to someone Unhappy. Wish you luck A Concerned Mother & Father.
