Review for The Gallery Apartments

The large floorplans and central air are great which is why I moved here. The appeal stops there! After living at the Gallery for a few years I have realized what a shady dump it is. Currently, there is a horribly putrid odor coming from one of the communal washers that has been broken for nearly 2 weeks. Management has not found a way to get the washer fixed in a timely manner or somehow pump the water out so an entire floor of the building smells like a dirty diaper. Also, currently, the pest problem is awful and getting worse. Until recently I did not have a problem with roaches, now they are rampant and running around the stairwells and walls of the halls in the building. The staff is made up of ever-changing leasing agents, a timid female manager, and her absolutely repulsive husband--the maintenance manager. While parking is limited at the Gallery, they should have 2 parking spots for their 3 bedroom apartment. But their cars occupy 2 carports, the only garage in the complex, AND the carport they use when the DRIVE to work (they work at the apartments and drive to a spot closer to the front office!!!) And I have seen their cars in spots other than those mentioned here. This is just a complete abuse of power. Maintenance does a horrible job of fixing anything properly. The maintenance technician is a good worker, but he is not given the tools from managment to do a good job. The husband/maintenance manager is extremely condescending and rude to his employees and the residents. The apartment paint is horrible quality. The coating on the bathtubs is done poorly and chips off completely, leaving a rusty, moldy mess.
