I moved into these apartments when it was called The Oaks. The management staff back then was completely inept and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. The new management came in. The apartments changed names from The Oaks to Spring Meadows. The first thing that went wrong is they opened the doors to every low-life criminal type within a 30 mile radius. Your apartment life is as only as good as the neighbors. Not a safe place to raise a family. Not a good place if you want peace. Most of the problems I've had were with neighbors. Cars getting stolen, broken into, vandalized and having stolen cars dumped in the parking lot are just a few of the delightful things I've witnessed. Even had a demolition derby in the parking lot where some guy crashed his truck into 6 or 7 parked cars. Real fun. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If you find yourself with little option and you are still thinking about moving there, check the City of Sacramento data on crime rates for zips 95842 & 95843. Also check out the sex offender listings... you never know who your neighbor is.
