Small, Fairly Quiet Complex

I have lived here since July. It's a small complex and it's not gated (probabl one of my only complaints, not living in a gated community). It's right across from an Albertson's and down the street from Safeway, and is pretty close to a lot of places; the mall (both Sunrise, Arden, and Country Club), American River College, grocery stores, etc. One of the things I like best about Foxworth is that I find the complex to be VERY well soundproofed. One of my friends lives in a gorgeous newly built complex in Stanford Ranch, and she says even though it's new they cut corners on soundproofing, so she hates it. I can hardly ever hear my neighbors except when they are right outside the door or when they leave their door open and are coming in and out a lot. I never hear any shouting or yelling from other complexes, and if someone is playing music way too loudly (which happens rarely), I have found the people who live here to be really amenable to just turning it down without making a fuss over it and acting like you're a real jerk. There's a small pool and no spa, and a laundry room which is open 24 hours. I think the apartment manager, Michelle, is a really nice girl. She's always friendly to the tenants and kind of has an open door policy, where you can talk to her about any problems in the complex you're having, and you feel like she takes notice and will keep it confidential. I do think the complex would be better if it was gated, because this is a busy area with a lot of people walking around, and I've heard there have been cars stolen from the parking lot, but overall I feel pretty safe here. I've had a couple of maintenance issues (toilet backing up, broken drawer in the bathroom, etc) and they have always been resolved very quickly, and the maintenance guy is friendly, too. Overall, the good points are that it's very quiet, small (so there's less people going in and out all the time), again WELL SOUNDPROOFED (and if you've lived in apartments before, you know how very important this is), and has friendly, approachable staff. There's even a creek running through here, which makes it more of a country-like setting. And it's pretty reasonably priced.
