Our lease is up at the end of next month. We have to submit a 30 day written notice, but today is the 19th and they still have not given us our renewal notice. I've been calling and asking for a new quote for about a month and they keep telling me "next week". So far, this is the only problem I've had to deal with from mgmt. A new company, EQUITY something... bought this complex in April. They stopped heating the pool 24 hours, so now it's always cold! Except one afternoon, they must have forgot to turn it off that night because the pool was actually warm!! It felt like heaven and the high rent I pay here seemed 100% worth it. Ever since Equity took over mgmt, I feel like there has been a subtle change in customer service from the office. They kept all the old staff, so those people are still lovely and caring, but now there are new temporary faces and they definitely don't have the same level of care, concern or professionalism.
The apt is spacious, over 1150 sq ft w/ an attached garage. Nothing else compares, but if our rent increases $100-$200 at renewal, we'll have to move. Previous mgmt tried to keep your renewal rates close to what you moved in at. 15 families moved at last month due to the renewal hike. Just another casualty of greedy corporate america!
