Review Title:   Best Apartment Choice Outside Of San Diego County

History on myself, I have lived in Timbers (building 1520) since 2003 and I am only moving because my job is relocating me to a different city. I started off paying $750 for a one bedroom 594sq ft apartment. Its a split level. Which was exactly what I was looking for. This was the best decision I made on an apartment. I DO NOT WORK HERE. I have worked in the hotel industry for 10 years.

I think the person who wrote the bad lives in a not so good building as the building I live in has had the laundry room remodeled with new washer and dryers. The landscape guys do a great job of cleaning up twice if not more a week and they are very friendly. They stop what they are doing so you can pass by and ask if you need any help.

I have called for maintenance a few times on my disposal and it is fixed with in 24hrs. They even leave you a note saying so and what the problem was.

There is 24hr mainteance for emergency stuff. Example I got my key (only key I had) stuck in the door and I called. The guy came in 15 minutes and brought a new key and got my old one out. The next day the landlord called to see if all was okay and if was okay for them to double check the locks or replace.

Yes you can hear the kids when they play from my apartment - but kids are kids - they are going to be loud.

I can't hear my neighbors conversations. I can only if they have their tv very very loud. But I don't complain.

I have had people over for drinks late at night and I did not recieve a complaint.

As far as the cats go - we do have a cat here and there, but they are harmless. A few people feed them. The gardener guy makes sure to power wash the sidewalks each week.

For a short period of time there were some homeless going through trash. Management recognized this (I think with the help of complaints from residents) and had police patrol the area, they added lights for at night so residents felt safe coming home, and have their own security a few times a month.

In terms of parking - 90% of the time I get a spot in the complex. I have only parked on the street if I come home in the early hours but hey that's my doing. The street parking isn't so bad either. There is plenty of it.

There are many restaurants and malls nearby as well as gas stations - which helps when you are on E.

The nearest grocery store is VONS in Fletcher Hills about 2 minutes north.

I highly recommend anyone living here. In fact 682 was my apartment and you can tell them Melissa sent you. I loved it here!!!
