Apartment Review for Regents La Jolla

My apartment is very nice. However, the complex is indeed a UCSD dorm - as I write this the bass from my downstairs neighbors' stereo is causing my floor to vibrate and I can hear the music coming through the floor. This is typical of the noise incursions endured by residents here. Coupled with the irresponsible behavior of college students, this is an unpleasant place to live. Now that it's summer, the swimming pools and spas are taken over by large groups of loud students who overindulge in alcohol, yell and shout (often peppered with obscenities) and whose behavior spiral downwards as the day progresses. Garbage is dropped everywhere.

Security is regularly compromised as other residents often tie-back the security gates when they're having parties, so that their guests can enter the complex easily.

There are nearby complexes that don't allow parents to co-sign leases for their college-age children. If you are a working professional, don't live at Regents. Things might improve when the condominium conversion goes through - all the tenants have been notified of this in writing and all apartments have been inspected as part of the process.

I can't wait to move out.
