As a former resident, i know what it is like to actually live here. This is real downtown living and everything i was looking for at the time. I had lived in NYC, Boston and Washington DC prior to living here and the menacing skid row image that is portrayed here is flat wrong. The mission is not far away but the folks who use it will not bother you if you do not bother them. I have been reading about the overhall to the way the city deals with skid row and i know that it will help clean up 5th street. I watched as Hoboken NJ went through a similar phase and wish i still had my brownstone there. This place is great.
