It's nice to walk across the street to school and having an assigned parking space is a relief. Parking in this neighborhood can be hazardous at times. The building is very quiet, a noise ordinance of ten p.m. is strictly adhered to. The management is quick to return calls and answer questions. Complaints are addressed quickly and maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner. Really in a day or less which is amazing in this area! The manager is kind, she actually lives and works on site and we always see her walking the building with her little boy, usually after hours to check up on the building. She questions people she doesn't recognize and is quite vigilant about security and keeping doors closed, my sister and I really appreciate that.

The location of this property is what drew me to it, the manager and upgraded apartment is what closed the deal. Brand new carpet and wood floors, new appliances and a/c! I thought I was dreaming! I've lived here since early May and don't have a single complaint. I had one complaint, the paint on the outside of the building is a little lackluster. Then it was explained that 30K could be spent on a paint job OR upgrading the units. Give me rough paint anyday! Other positives, parking is assigned and well lit and the grounds are well kept. I'm always speculative when I'm told that a building is "quiet" but this one REALLY is. Not many undergrads here at all which is surprising given the location right on Gayley. May have something to do with the manager; truly a nice, nice person but tough as nails too. I would not want to be on the receiving end of a noise complaint at 2:00 am! On the tour we ran into several people doing laundry, checking mail, etc. she knew the name of everyone we encountered and even asked about a cat (Shakespeare!) This really impressed my parents, even as a grad student they want to keep an eye on their little girl. We cornered a few people on the way out to get real input on the building. They all raved about the building, the location and the management. Anyway my dad says that she obviously pays attention to details and cares about the people in the building. I have to say that I agree with that statement 100%. Rent here if you can get in, you'll love it!

I've lived at Ariel Court for over a year and the experience has been a pleasant one. The location is the best part, no long walks to class and I can leave my car in the assigned parking space in the garage. No noise complaints and the manager doesn't put up with a lot. Probably why there's not many undergrads here, or maybe they're here but they're really quiet?? Maintenance issues are handled quickly and the apartment was upgraded when I moved in. New carpet and wood flooring looks really nice. The building is a little old, but kept up nicely. All the buildings in this area are old anyway, these guys do their best to maintain appearance.

Great upgraded apartment, great amenities, parking included. Just moved in to an apartment with a pool view, appliances are nice and laundry area is ample and clean. Quiet building and nice management. Same price as the other communities in the area however AC offers more and they operate at a professional level. 100% worth the money.

I rented a room from someone on a lease here, he actually sublet the unit to me because they had no availability. After being here for a month I know why! As a college student I'm used to being treated poorly by management and not having maintenance requests done... imagine my surprise when I called the manager; an extremely pleasant woman by the name of Tanya and reported a work order. I came home from school and it was already done. The maintenance man's name is Mauro and he is really friendly, not at all creepy like the ones at the buildings around here. I heard that it's difficult to get into this building so I called to check and the wait list has already started for Fall 2006 and I'm on it! Again I spoke with Tanya, she's very knowledgeable about the area and has been a manager for over ten years. She gave me advice about getting my old deosit back and advised me what is/not legal for management companies in CA. I informed my old landlord of my newly acquired info. and I'm getting my whole security deposit back! Funny because they were only going to refund 1/4 of it! The building could use a coat of paint but that is the only legitimate complaint. This place is absolutely worth the money with the convenience to UCLA and I know Tanya runs a tight ship so I don't have to worry about any safety issues or strange people hanging about. Probably because she lives there too! Overall I give this place a great mark, A+++! The management and staff are super friendly and it just goes to show what a difference a great manager can make.
