They increase rents by hundreds of dollars per year, sometimes twice in one year, sometimes up to $500 at once to artificially jack up the market value and drive out current tenants. Hardly anyone stays here more than one or two lease terms because the average rates for tiny one bedrooms have gone up at least $400 in less than two years, and the standard of the building hasn't changed much at all - if anything it's gone down in the last year due to the new manager's neglect. Rents in the rest of the area have remained fairly stable. You will pay at least 3 or 4 hundred more in this building than anywhere else. You'd be a fool to look at this place or any other property managed by Stratus Real Estate. They advertise it as some high standard, luxery high rise and it is nothing like that. The pool is disgusting and neglected, there's no 24 hour security or staff, there's car vandalism, and the mailboxes have been tampered with causing the post office to halt our mail for days once. If you actually decide to spend $1650 to $1850 for a tiny one bedroom here, be advised that without a doubt they're going to raise it another few hundred when your lease is up. And forget about month to month - they charge $150/month more on top of your rent just to do that. You will find MUCH cheaper rents in just as nice buildings all over this neighborhood. This place has unrealistic rental policies and it's a complete waste of your money.
