Seen from the outside, PLB is a gorgeous community - sprawling, lush, landscaped fields and courtyards, security gates, a swimming pool, gym, fountains, the whole works.

With any luck, that's all you'll experience. See it from the outside - but do not bother to come in.

Once you get here, and the beautiful landscaping, the two months of free rent, and the enthusiastic salespeople wear off, you will see the true face of Park LaBrea:

- $20-75/mo/car for parking, depending on your level of tolerance for inconvenience. God forbid you are one person with more than one car - it's not permitted. Only option is to walk half a mile from the other side of the community, or park outside the
