Great Apartment! Poorly Management!!

I've lived in this apartment for more than 2 years and I love it! The location is close to everything and the townhouse itself is well-kept, quiet and clean. The maintenance guy Art is very friendly and professional. He really cares for the tenants and always does his best work. The only downside is the management. Well, Nikki, the apartment manager, is nice. She smiles. But you don't really know what the apartment manager is there for.She is never at the office, never receives phone calls and never calls back. She cancels appointments without notice. She simply does not show up. And the only response is that she is very busy...Well, who's not?

We've lived here almost two years and love it here. First of all, the on-site manager, Nikki, does a fantastic job. She's on top of every maintenance request, knows the residents by name and responds immediately to any kind of question. As someone who's had to ask previous managers for the same thing over and over, we can tell you that Nikki is very rare. Art, who takes care of the facility, is a wonderful guy. Second of all, the complex is very quiet, cleaned consistently and everything is kept in wonderful order. Units are modern, comfortable - and nothing ever breaks.

I love my new townhouse! Move in was easy and approval fast! I plan to stay for some years. Met the maintenance man and he is very friendly and professional and the manager is first rate--She is always smiling, says hello and is on top of maintenance issues if any! I highly recommend this place! PS--oh and the Jacuzzi is HUGE and awesome!

Some people are so negative.........I know that some people have the opinions that they have, but come on! I have lived here for 3 years and I can honestly say that I am not going anywhere, anytime soon. Geezz, first off we should all be grateful for the fact that we have a roof over our heads and a nice place to live!!!! It's amazing that the general public just does not make a note of all the GOOD things that occur or all the good things that they should be happy about (considering all the crappy landlords that exist these days), The place is nice. It's well kept, the management is wonderful, and all of our needs are met in VERY timely manor. For the first time, (well maybe the second), I have actually managed to find a place to live that is cozy, pretty, & affordable (especially in this area where the 2 bedroom apartments actually exceed $2300 per month and up). I am happy and I will stay for as long as my situation allows. Poo to the people who always complain... .......By a house if you don't like the inconvieniences that come with renting! Props to this place! Rock on.

One super Super

And by the second "Super", I mean the building's manager, Nikki. That young lady is on top of her business. She's quick to respond to any and all concerns, and is very sympathetic to the plight of the tenant. We moved in on a weekend, late in the day, and I can see how that would be an inconvenience to Nikki. But when we called, she was beyond accomodating, even so far as to cancel some plans so she could ensure that our lease was signed, our keys were handed over, and our new unit was in tip-top condition. And by god, it was. We've had a couple of side issues since moving in, and because of Nikki's overall patient and delightful demeanor (she's hillarious), I never felt like I was putting her out when I called informing of a problem. She was sympathetic with those cases and handled the issues promptly and with a big beautiful smile on her face. I've seen some sketchy building managers in my day, and I must honestly say that Terrace Trousdale is in amazing hands with Nikki -- she was in fact the final selling point when it came to choosing Terrace over the other places we were checking out. I couldn't recommend this place more.

What a joy to live in an apartment complex where the manager is actually friendly and helpful. The units are pretty spacious, and offer all the modern amenities that you would expect from a unit renting for this price in this neigborhood. I love the "Cape Cod" sort of look the place has which stands out in Los Angeles amongst all the "Sterile" , "Cookie Cutter" places offering housing around town. Pets are allowed, there's a crazy huge Jacuzzi, a gym and 2 parking spots for free which is always a big bonus! Thanks Trousdale!!!! A happy tenant!

I would like to first start by stating that the Maintenance and the Management are GREAT! The Manager is always available during the week and if anything at all happens, which is rear, she has a pager that you can reach her with in the event you need assistance with anything. There is also a wonderful website with alot of great information and a place where residents can email the manager with any questions or maintenance issues. I think that considering the place was built in the 80's it is in outstanding condition and it is kept after quite well! I would recommend this complex to my friends for sure! I have enjoyed living here and will continue to.

With the good, comes the bad

I really enjoyed leaving here. (I lived in the complex for 3 years and only relocated for work) The apt itself is better than most in the area. (I mean you get a townhouse apt for the same price as a regular, run of the mill 2 bedroom.) I actually lived on the other side of the complex away from the little terrors, but I did get a taste of what the other reviewers mentioned from time to time. Other than for the noisy children, the complex was VERY quiet ( at least at my end it was.) The building has changed landlords a few times, and when I was moving out, there was a new landlord. So maybe that will help things. Maintenance requests were handled in a timely manner. The complex is rather well built so I rarely had any serious problems. I have lived in several different apt complexes, and this one was my favorite and I would consider living there again if I could. It is in a great location. A couple blocks away from the freeway entrance, across the street from a small shopping complex (includes a Ralph's and a Rite-Aid.), and a decent amount of street parking. The good definitely overshadowed the bad here.

Only if you've got kids

After living in our apartment for a year, my roommate and I love the place. Well, we love the apartment itself. It is a townhouse, with 2 beds & 2 baths upstairs, and a kitchen, dining room and living room downstairs. It is perfect for two college students. The complex however is not.
There are a few families who live in the complex who have small children who are terrors. They run and play in the concrete courtyard from dawn to dusk. The scream, hit baseballs into our windows, run things into our walls, and make it impossible to get any peace during the day. If you are looking to move into this building, do it only if you really love VERY loud children.
