Information About Newport Beach Apartments

The City of Newport Beach in California has a population of over 87,000 residents. The cost of living here is higher than in most states and cities but the median family income is high enough for you to work in the city and comfortably rent Newport Beach apartments. It is one of the wealthiest places in California (ranked as the richest city in the U.S on Portfolio.com) and as such if you are relocating here for a job you should not have any problems with your Newport Beach apartment search.

One of the first concerns apart from rental prices for relocating to Newport Beach is the climate. When you rent apartments in Newport Beach you can look forward to a Mediterranean climate. Since it is a coastal town you will find only small variations in temperature during the different seasons. As you go further inland though you will find that the effects of the Pacific Ocean lessen as it relates to the type of climate that you will experience.

Once you get settled in your Newport Beach apartments you will not have to worry about things to do while in the city. You can go to the Balboa Pavilion found on Main Street or you can take a stroll along the Balboa Pier. Since you will be making the city your home you can learn to sail at the Orange Coast College sailing school.

If you are more interested in getting wet then you can go to one of the many beaches that you will find close to your Newport Beach apartments for rent. Some that you will find of interest include the Balboa Peninsula, the Santa Ana River, the beaches at Crystal Cove State Park and Corona del Mar State Beach. For surfing your best bet is to go to the Newport Beach but if body boarding is what you are after you should go to the Balboa Peninsula or The Wedge. If you want to get some fresh fish you can find fishermen at Balboa Pier as well as Newport Pier sporting their wares.

If you want to attend all boating activities then the Newport harbor is just right for you. Here you can involve yourself in activities such as sailing, kayaking, fishing, rowing and paddle boarding. There is also the Christmas Boat Parade that occurs annually since 1908. If you already own a boat and you are a seasoned boater you can find Newport Beach apartments close to here so you will be close to your boat. You can also compete in events for rowing, paddling and sailing which take place pretty much every weekend and even on weekdays during the summer months. You can even compete in the largest sailboat race in the world; the Newport Ensenada International Yacht Race held here once per year.

If you love the outdoors then you will find suitable Newport Beach apartments for rent that are close to many natural beauties. There are trails and paths along Back Bay Drive that are ideal for walkers, joggers, roller bladders and cyclists. There is the Newport Bay Ecological Reserve that is ideal for those interested in bird watching as well as the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center. There are also some beautiful roads along the Newport coast that are ideal for sightseeing as well as in the San Joaquin Hills. If you like biking or cycling but don’t own your vehicle you can rent one along the Balboa Peninsula.

If you need to be close to nightlife then look at a Newport Beach apt listing that is close to the Newport Pier where you will find a number of bars and restaurants to cater for a great nighttime experience. If you want to shop then you can find Newport apartments close to the Newport Center where they have Fashion Island. If you want other types of entertainment and passing the time you can find apartments in Newport Beach that are close to the Orange County Museum of art.
