Review for Durant Lofts Apartments

We currently live at Durant Lofts in Oakland and have experienced nothing but hassle here. The major issue is the inexperienced management, who know nothing about tenant care. Some of the concerns that we are experiencing: laundry and trash room are consistently unkepted, at least 10 car break-ins with no response to secure the area, one tenant had a window broken from a rock being thrown from the street, all were stripped of the assigned parking to allow convenience for marketplace customers, and dog mess in the halls.

Yes- the rent is reasonable given the area; however, if it is possible for you to rent elsewhere- DO SO! If you do apply and decide to see for yourself, the management will appear to be cordial. Don't be fooled!

I'm glad to report that things must have changed since... I'm happily living in my loft for two years now, and cannot see any of the above complaints...
