Review for Howe Street Apartments

Recently, the complex was sold to slum lords. Pain in the ass all of them, penny pinching, and the big fat one (Norm) is a liar. Watch him carefully. It was an apartment right at the time for the price, but now with the new slum lords, it's not right anymore. If you are on the back side you have to put up with Cato's and Baywolf; at about midnight every night the bottles are tossed, it wakes the dead every night. The place was built in 1972, so the carpet needs replaced, all carpet... The new owners are cutting back on electricity so the garage lights go off about 11 o’clock; very unsafe...it’s just a matter of time. I have lived there since 1997, but under the new management, after raising my rent 110 dollars a month and plans next year to raise it another 100; the place is not worth it. The one-bedrooms are worth 900 to 1000 a month not 1200 to 1600. In short if you are white with good standings you will pay 1200 if you are black your rent will start at 1600.

It’s not so much the place, but the new owners. Research these folks before you rent from them. They own a few other props too.
