Review for Oakbrook Manor Apartments

There are definitely more ghetto places to live in Oakland, but the management of this place is so terrible that you should avoid it at all costs. Be warned; they will definitely try to talk fast and get money from you that they don't have a legal right to. If you're a student or speak Spanish, prepare to be greedily raked over the coals for money because they'll assume you're too naive to know your own tenant rights. They WILL charge you illegal fees. You'll have to fill out SIX OR SEVEN requests in order to get your HEAT TURNED ON, or get an extra key, or even to pay them for a parking space! They really take paperwork to a new level here, I'm serious. If you dare to complain about the fact that you have no heat, you'll be labeled a 'racist' (wtf I am hispanic?) and will get glared at and talked down to by Sofia and Alberto, the managers. I've met and talked to other people in this building who've had the same experience.
