Apartment Review for Emerald Isle

This place advertises like a gem, but in real-time living its extremely the opposite. The staff makes comments such as "It is what it is" and "our hands are tied". Because its a senior citizen complex, they don't care. They charge for parking and yet no one enforces it. The trash at the entrance of the buildings is always full and the laundry room have full trash all the time. The outside looks good to attract tenants, however, once you move it, its tough luck for any kind of respect and consideration. All they are focused on is filling the vacancies, and not on retaining the clients. Once you sign on the dotted line, good luck. Beware. There is no security and so its just a free-for-all. And don't expect a phone call returned from the office. Won't happen. And they throw the phones straight to voice mail. I kept calling and calling and it went straight to voicemail, so I walked to the office and this guy Mark was sitting there reading a magazine. They want to look good to be qualified as a "senior apt complex" but the buck stops with your signature on the rental agreement. Oh, I am still waiting after 4 days for the manager to call me back. <P>
