Positive Apartment Reviews and Ratings
It's nice but... ( over a year ago )

Reviewed by: Anonymous
THE GOOD:
*Depending on the location of the unit, you may be able to get an excellent bay view.
*Indoor community pool is real nice.
*Excercise room is not too shabby either.
*Included washer and dryer a very nice incentive.
*Some of the units offer enclosed 2-car garage parking: 1 spot for you and 1 spot for your neighbor.
THE BAD:
*Extremely tight parking spaces. If your car is bigger than a subcompact you'll be having to enter and exit your car sideways - no joke. Don't even think about trying to fit a full-size SUV or truck.
*Overcrowded. More people = more traffic = more noise.
*No elevator/Tight stairwell. Unless you move into the first floor unit you'll have a helluva time lugging your furniture to the second or third floors. The stairwells are way to narrow to safely navigate carrying anything larger than a medium size moving box - couches, medium size TVs, bookshelves, tables are a formidable challenge that will result in bloody knuckles; armoire: forget it.
*Thin walls/ceilings. Sad but true. I can hear my neigbors TV, washer & dryer, telephone conversations, arguments. But worse still is the footsteps: although the units are carpeted I can hear every single footsteps from the neighbor above.
*Building is settling. Some doors don't latch and other's don't stay closed at all.
*Poor livingroom layout. You almost have to see the layout to believe this: I've not idea what they were smoking when they planned this out starting with the igenious idea of placing the cable hookup on a very small wall section.
*Poor pre-move-in apartment condition. You'd think they would have repainted the place, repaired broken tiles, cleaned up some of the obviously dirty walls. But no. Be absolutely sure to point this out before you sign anything. I was terribly dissapointed to see this considering the monthly rent of $1800.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Get a unit with a view and a garage. The entire complex was poorly built but since it's only some 4 years old it all looks real nice to the eye. If you have a large car or SUV - get rid of it before you move in. If you have a real nice car that you don't want anyone to ding - get rid of it too.
