Pros: Granite counter tops and good view of marina but only for about half of the units.
Cons: Really low-tech place: 1. Cheap appliances. The oven does not even have a timer or auto shutoff. 2. You CANNOT have a broadband connection here. Only SBC is "allowed", which means that DSL is the best you are going to have here. 3. Absolutely NO COMCAST, which means that if you want to watch High Def channels on your new HDTV, you are out of luck. 4. This place is prewired ONLY for SBC Home Entertainment. So be prepared to pay $50/month for the most basic package. And don't even ask SBC for High Definition channels. SBC has sent me an email 2 days ago saying that they have NO PLANS as of now to upgrade their Northern California custmers to HD. Welcome to living in Silicon Valley - the most hi-tech place on this planet (at least not here at The Villas).
Oh, and about half of the aparments are facing a RV storage ground which is about 100 feet from your window. It's not a good sight and I'll just leave it at that.
And do check out the gym if you happen to stop by here for a tour. 3 out of 4 window locks are broken and cannot be opened. And one "shared" remote for two small 19" TVs with scotch tape all over it. I have given up on reminding the management in the front office regarding this.
And these apartments are not cheap - $2040/month for 1bd/1ba.
Bottomline, don't get carried away by the Marina and the granite counter tops.
