Apartment Reviews for Highlander Pointe - Riverside

Under new managment and things are looking better. Staff is friendly and grounds look better. Things are finally getting fixed. Fintness center is functional. I cant complain. Parties are no longer going on everynight and new staff lives on site.

they haven't paid their advertizing bill in 3 years!! if they can't pay their own bills, what does that tell you about how they manage the complex??

Not sure what the other reviews are talking about. I've never had any problems with water (cold/hot), roaches, weather proofing, crime, or parking. The only thing I can think of is that the management is new(er) so they're in the middle of upgrading the complex (some units have new appliances and some don't yet) and last year they installed a new hot water heater. I've never had problems with too hot/cold water. I did notice water would be off occasionally but it was never more than 5-10min during the off hours of 10-2 and it was due to the on going upgrades to the buildings (which benefits me so since its never been off when I needed it I don't mind).

Because its close to the UCR campus, occasionally there are parties on the weekend (in our complex or across the street), but I've never experienced them during weekdays and after they typical party time they quiet down fast. I'm a grad student so I'm not very into the party scene.

Overall I've had a fine experience here. Its not the most amazing place in the world, but my apartment is very cozy and I enjoy being able to use the free workout room, pool and BBQ, and also being close to UCR and the other stores near the univeristy.
