Review for Peppertree Apartments

I'm a current resident and can I just start off by saying does anyone know a good lawyer so I can get out of this lease??!! First off, the Peppertree Place has a HUGE problem with mold that you don't find out about until the day you sign your lease. When I say mold, I'm talking mushrooms growing out of the carpet. LITERALLY!! I'm looking into this but there has got to be some kind of law against not giving enough warning about a problem that could potentially cause health problems. Had I known when I first looked at the apt about the mold I would have never moved in since my children are severely allergic to mold!! However, since they tell you the day you sign the lease, my options were accept it or sleep on the street. Moving on though, these so called "CRIME FREE" apartment homes have a small gang of children, ranging from the ages of 9 to 17, that are terrorizing, not just the apartments, but the neighborhood. They are literally a gang. If your children aren't down with them they are constantly harassed, bullied and assaulted. Management does nothing to assure the safety of their residents. They tell you all kinds of things YOU should do but they do nothing. My child has been harassed since we moved in and the only thing that is stopping the problem is that I can't send my kid outside anymore. Imagine that. All the money I pay for rent there and my kids can't even enjoy the playground without being approached by the Peppertree gang. These kids are future inmates!! I've witnessed them physically assaulting other kids, lighting fire crackers in the pool areas, vandalizing the property, etc. And when it's reported management acts like they can't do a thing. I wouldn't recommend anyone with kids or allergies move into this place. And they do not fix things in a timely fashion. They came and did a safety inspection in January and left with a list of minor repairs that needed to be done. It's the middle of March now and I haven't heard from them. The manager is a worthless woman with a nasty attitude! All of her croonies are pleasant but aren't capable of accomplishing anything without her approval. But they act like they are petrified of her and that everybody else should be too. The only positive thing I can say about the Peppertree place is that my car has not been stolen or broken into. However, that has nothing to do with their poor excuse for security. Nobody messes with my car because I strategically keep it looking junky on the inside and out. Crime deterent the cheap way!!
