It's true, if you are moving here, DO NOT let them stick you with an apartment on the Country Club Lanes side. We've lived here for several months so we have become accustomed to the loud drunken laughter, gunshots, and our apartment vibrating with the lame bass beats of some hooptie mobile. No security in the parking lots most nights, the gate is often stuck open and not working, so anyone can come in. When we toured the model apartment we were very impressed. When we saw our own apartment, we were less impressed, mostly because of its location. The inside is nice and big. The kitchen drawers and cupboards are cheaply made but bright and white. The windows are aluminum, very thin, and moldy. Need replacement. We can't hear much from any of our neighbors, but everything from outside. When we first expressed interest in renting we were told we could have cable lines installed in the bedrooms, but two days before we moved in we were told that was not true and treated with an attitude of 'take it or leave it'. They used to have recycling pickup that seems to have been stopped and now they just have trash. When we first toured the complex we were told that some utilities were included. This changed the day we signed the lease and we were told we would be paying all of our utilities on top of our already bloated rent. The parking is terrible. If you have two cars you get one assigned spot and the other car you have to park in visitor parking which is always few and far between unless you get home from work at noon. The surrounding neighborhood is nice, but not on the bowling alley side. The day we moved in we saw a syringe floating in the pool. Since then it has been relatively clean, but a syringe is not something you easily forget. My clothing has been stolen from the laundry room which is far from my apartment. There is dog crap everywhere and it smells. I have met some nice people who are my neighbors but a lot of the other residents look like crack heads. I love the inside of our apartment and hate the outside. We hope to move once our lease is up.
