The Sacramento Police Department has been investigating a series of burglaries that have occurred between November 24, 2004 and December 13, 2004. These five crimes took place in the Tamaron Ranch Apartment complex on West El Camino. During one of these burglaries, the suspect sexually assaulted the victim.
On November 24, 2004, between 7:20 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., the victim returned home and found her front door unlocked. As the victim entered the apartment, she found that her apartment had been burglarized. Neighbors observed two Black males in their early 20s wearing dark hooded sweatshirts in front of the victims apartment at approximately 2:30 p.m.
On November 26, 2004, between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., the victim was getting ready for work when she heard rocks hitting her front door. As the victim left for work, she noticed a Black male adult sitting on the steps to her apartment. The victim had never seen this subject before. When the victim returned home, she found her front door open and that her apartment had been burglarized. A neighbor observed a Black male 25-35 year old wearing a dark beanie, dark blue hooded sweatshirt, and dark sweat pants checking windows in the apartment complex.
On November 30, 2004, between 4:30 a.m. and 6:15 a.m., the victim locked her front door before going to bed. When the victim got up, she found her front door unlocked and her patio screen door open. The victim looked around and found her apartment had been burglarized.
On December 3, 2004, at approximately 1:48 a.m., the victim came home to her apartment and found that her front door was unlocked. The victim went to her bedroom and attempted to open her closet door, which was being held shut. When she got the door open, she noticed that there was a male hiding in her closet. The suspect, (a Black male, 22-29 years old, 57 , 130 pounds wearing a dark sweatshirt and dark jeans), punched her in the face and ran away.
On December 13, 2004, at approximately 4:50 a.m., the victim was in bed when she woke up because she couldnt breathe. The victim then realized that she had a pillow over her face. The victim heard a male voice calling her name. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim who was unable to identify the suspect.
The Sacramento Police Department is still investigating these crimes and believe they may possibly be related. The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the publics assistance in solving these crimes.
